Look For A New, Large Samsung Tablet At The 2012 Mobile World Congress

Posted on Tablet PC |

Even though Samsung has decided not to reveal the Galaxy S3 smartphone at Mobile World Congress this year, they still have other goodies to show. One is the Samsung Galaxy Tab 11.6 tablet. The sizes of Samsung’s tablets are getting bigger. Read on to discover more on this latest tablet from the land of the morning calm.

This Will Be The Biggest Tablet From Samsung Yet

Samsung has managed to outdo, at least temporarily, the iPad 2. It is not quite here yet, but it is not going to be much time before it is. Barcelona is hosting the 2012 Mobile World Congress and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 11.6 is going to be stealing the show. That is what the internet rumors are saying and not only one, but two new Samsung tablets may be up for grabs. Samsung makes many sizes of tablets and even a smartphone, the Note, that could be considered a small tablet. This one though, is a monster.

This Is A Very Nice Display For A Large Tablet

Expect to see 11.6 inches of digital real estate on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 11.6. The screen may be big, but it is not dull. The clarity is right up there and better than an iPad 2 screen. There are 2,560 by 1,600 pixels of power for this tablet. The iPad 2 has “just” 1024 by 768 pixels in a slightly smaller ( 9.7 inches ) display. Samsung made the exterior size of the Tab 11.6 about the same size as the Tab 10.1. The bezel is going to be smaller on the newer tablet.

Two Samsung Tablets May Show Up At Mobile World Congress

A few privileged people have already been able to take a hands-on look at this Samsung tablet. It was seen at the recent CES event in Las Vegas, Nevada as well. The photos that were taken were quickly deleted from the web though, and it has remained that way until now. The Federal Communications Commission has had some interesting data come through their web site. They report a “GT-P5100″ and a “GT-P3100″ from Samsung coming through for Wi-Fi “interoperability certificates”. For those in the know, the letter “P” in those mean “tablet”. One is assumed to be the Samsung Galaxy Tab 11.6. The other is still a mystery.

A Super Powerful Chip Powers This Tablet

Along with the great screen is going to come a great processor. The Tab 11.6 tablet is going to have a dual core Exynos 5250 2 gigahertz chip installed. This is a “fire breathing” piece of silicone and will be one of the most powerful chips inside of a modern mobile device. Samsung makes it. With that type of power this tablet is not going to have any problem playing high definition video. No pictures are available to know if the Samsung Galaxy Tab 11.6 is going to have cameras. If it is anything like the last tablet it will have two, one on the front and another on the back. As stated, look for this tablet to show up at the 2012 Mobile World Congress at the end of the month.
