Kingston Ships the DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 Series
Kingston Digital has begun shipping its first USB 3.0 flash drives, the DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 series which available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models with recommended price tags of $89, $138 and $270, respectively.
Measuring 73.70 x 22.20 x 16.10 mm, the DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 have a durable casing with a solid lanyard loop, can operate at 0 degrees to 60 degrees Celsius, the drive are capable of maximum read and write speeds of 80 MB/s and 60 MB/s, respectively (30/20 MB/s on USB 2.0).
“USB 3.0 is the next major milestone in Flash memory for USB products and Kingston wants to have a solution in the marketplace for early adopters,” said Andrew Ewing, USB business manager, Kingston. “The DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 is our first USB 3.0 Flash drive offering and is designed for enthusiasts who like to embrace new technology before it goes mainstream.”
